Mark T. Murphy, DDS, FAGD

Mark Murphy is the lead faculty for Mercer Advisors and is a principal of Funktional Consulting working with Dental Laboratories across North America. He practices on a limited basis in Rochester, Michigan. Mark graduated from UDM School of Dentistry in 1981 and taught Anatomy and Crown and Bridge part time for several years. He has served on the Visiting Faculty of The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education since 1991 and on its Board of Directors and Trustees until taking a fulltime role with them during 2005/2006.

Mark has lectured internationally on Leadership, Practice Management, Philosophy, Communication, Case Acceptance, Overdenture Implants, Occlusion, Esthetic Dentistry and TMD. He is an exciting and very entertaining speaker, blending a stand-up style of humor and anecdotes with current research and information that you can take home and use in your practice right away.

Mark’s influence on others and as a model for a balanced life extends well beyond the classroom. As a former High School cross country and track coach, runner, golfer, and Boy Scout leader, he longs to be on the go and outside. He and Denice, his High School sweet heart and wife of 31 years, are currently enjoying the “empty nester” phase of life. They have two children, Matthew (29) and Kimberly (25), both were married in 2007.
